On 19 November 2020, the Slovenian Government, on the proposal of the President of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Slovenia, adopted a Decision on temporary suspension of running of deadlines determined by law for exercising the parties’ rights in judicial proceedings (»Decision«). On the basis of the Decision, the deadlines determined by law for exercising the parties’ rights in judicial proceedings ceased to run.
The Decision entered into force on 20 November 2020 and is valid for 30 days. According to the provisions of the Courts Act, the suspension of deadlines may not last more than three months, which means that the Government could extend the measure if the epidemiological situation does not improve.
