Deadline of 31 August 2020 for application concerning justified state aid

How much public funds did your company receive or plans to receive on the basis of the COVID-19 intervention acts?

If the value of such funds exceeds EUR 800,000 per individual company (or EUR 120,000 per company active in the fisheries and aquaculture  sector, or EUR 100,000 per company active in primary production of agricultural products) an application for determination of justified state aid should be made with the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities by 31 August 2020. If such application is not filed or not granted, the funds will likely need to be repaid. The application needs to determine what harm was caused to the company due to COVID-19 and needs to include the documents determined under the relevant decree.

Additionally, large companies which received public funds for repayment of wage compensations and exemption from payment of contributions under the intervention acts and if such funds exceed the above maximum amounts may also be eligible to benefit from the exception provided under the state aid rules for compensation of damages directly caused by an exceptional occurrence.
